Permeke Library is the central library in Antwerp, part of a network of 18 libraries. Antwerp’s public libraries encourage inspiring encounters around knowledge, stories, and culture. Together, they form the city’s largest (e-)bookcase, which anyone can use and share freely and easily. The libraries are cultural partners in creating and developing a rich reading environment, focusing on studying, digital creation, Dutch language practice opportunities, and playing a role in e-inclusion. They champion children and young people, helping them to increase their opportunities and develop into critical, literate citizens through the enjoyment of reading, learning, and creating.
